Effective November 4, 2026 · CSV Change Tracker

Your data stays with you.

How CSV Change Tracker processes CSV files locally, handles temporary data, and distinguishes file privacy from website access logs.

01

Local file processing

CSV files are read only after you choose or drop them. File parsing, matching, comparison, querying, and report generation run in a browser Worker. The application does not upload file contents, file names, headers, or comparison results to a server.

02

Temporary memory

The active files and results exist in memory for this tab. New comparison terminates the active Worker and clears its session. Closing the page releases references to the session. JavaScript memory reclamation is managed by the browser and is not an immediate physical wipe.

03

Storage and third parties

This Web version does not persist files, results, or comparison history in localStorage, IndexedDB, or cookies. It does not include analytics, advertising, remote fonts, third-party tracking scripts, or remote error-reporting SDKs.

Five tool preferences are saved in localStorage on this device: whitespace trimming, case sensitivity, the numeric analysis switch, number format, and rows per page. File names, field names, matching keys, searches, and results are never saved. Use Local preferences to restore defaults. If storage is unavailable, the tool still works for the current session.

04

Website requests

The browser downloads this website's own static HTML, JavaScript, styles, and Worker code. This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes network information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and timestamps, to deliver and protect the site. We do not enable Cloudflare Web Analytics or collect CSV usage events. Infrastructure data handling and retention follow Cloudflare's applicable policies; we do not promise that the hosting platform keeps no logs. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

05

Downloaded reports

Reports are downloaded only when you click Export CSV. Your browser and operating system manage the saved file. Clear or delete downloaded reports using your browser or file manager.
