CHROME EXTENSION PRIVACY · NOVEMBER 4, 2026
Your CSV stays on your device.
The extension is free, works offline, and does not upload your files or comparison
results.
01
Local file processing
Files are read only after you select or drop them. Parsing, matching, comparison,
search, and CSV report generation run locally in a browser Worker. File contents,
names, headers, matching keys, searches, and results are not sent to a server.
02
What is saved
Chrome local storage saves only trim whitespace, ignore letter case, numeric
analysis enabled, number format, and rows per page. These settings are stored on
this device, not in Chrome Sync. File contents, file names, field selections,
results, and history are never saved by the extension.
Use Local preferences → Restore default preferences to reset these options. Chrome
removes the extension's local storage when you uninstall it. New comparison clears
the file session and keeps your preferences.
03
One permission
The storage permission supports local preferences. The extension does not request
website access, browsing history, tabs reading, clipboard, downloads, or unlimited
storage permissions. It does not inject scripts into websites or include analytics,
advertising, remote code, or third-party trackers.
04
Files and downloaded reports
The active CSV session remains in memory while the tool is open. Cancel, New
comparison, reloading, or closing the tool releases session references; browser
memory reclamation is not an immediate physical wipe. Export CSV saves a report only
after you click it. Your browser and operating system manage downloaded files.
